O NAWOZACH

About fertilizers

AZOPLON series products are foreseen for the broadly understood AGRO sector, in particular field, orchard and vegetable crops. They can be used for the fertilisation and feeding both of open field crops as well as crops grown under shelter. All AZOPLON series fertilisers are EU inorganic fertiliser products and carry the CE mark.

AZOPLON NUTRI series products are multi-ingredient NPK fertilisers, enhanced with highly bioavailable micronutrients in the form of stable chelates. These products ensure comprehensive delivery to the plants of all kinds of nutrients that are necessary for their correct growth and development over the entire vegetation period. AZOPLON NUTRI are chloride-free fertilisers that are safe for sensitive plants. They are recommended both for the purpose of fertigation as well as foliar feeding of agricultural, orchard and vegetable crops. They are distinguished by their effectiveness and fast action, and are manufactured from top-quality raw materials.

AZOPLON OPTI series products are liquid macronutrient fertilisers that constitute a rich source of both nitrogen as well as calcium. The products are recommended for foliar feeding, soil fertilisation or fertigation of crops under shelter, field crops and orchards. The content of two products from the AZOPLON OPTI series is additionally enhanced with boron. The correctly selected ratio of calcium to boron facilitates better utilisation of the macronutrients contained in the fertiliser. Thanks to simultaneous use of nitrogen, calcium and boron it is possible to correctly feed plants that have the highest nutrient requirements with respect to these elements, in particular in the critical phases of their growth and development, additionally translating to the achieved crop yield. AZOPLON OPTI products are distinguished by the high content of key nutrients (calcium and nitrogen) as well as action effectiveness and speed.

AZOPLON MICRO products are fertilisers characterised by the high content of micronutrients present in the form of highly bioavailable chelates. These fertilisers are foreseen for foliar feeding of field, orchard and vegetable crops. The products are particularly recommended in periods when the plant demand for micronutrients is the highest, or when the plants are weakened by stress factors. AZOPLON MICRO fertilisers constitute a valuable amendment to soil fertilisation, positively influencing plant growth and development as well as crop yield and quality parameters.

Description of the individual nutrients

Primary macronutrients

N

Nitrogen

  • building material of plant cells – a component of amino acids;
  • element necessary for plant protein synthesis;
  • component of nucleotides (ATP and ADP) participating in the storage and transfer of energy;
  • component of chlorophylls, phytochromes and phytohormones;
  • element with the highest crop generation efficiency – influences crop yield and foliage.

P

Phosphorus

  • important component of external and internal cell membranes, hence participating in transport;
  • component of nucleotides (ATP and ADP) participating in the storage and transfer of energy;
  • takes part in fatty acid metabolism;
  • contributes to root growth – facilitating the uptake of nutrients from the soil;
  • contributes to the growth of carbohydrate (starch in potatoes, saccharose in beets), protein and vitamin content in the plant;
  • improves plant resistance to frost and pathogens.

K

Potassium

  • improves tillering and encourages the production of new branches;
  • facilitates plant resistance to illnesses, and brings about better resistance to frost and droughts;
  • regulates the water budget – increases the osmotic pressure of the cellular liquid and water uptake;
  • activates enzymes even though it doesn't take on the role of a coenzyme;
  • manages the carbohydrate and nitrogen budget – participates in CO2 assimilation as well as sugar transformation and transport;
  • acilitates protein biosynthesis.

secondary nutrients

Ca

Calcium

  • stimulates the granular soil stricture, conditioning its porosity and permeability;
  • improves fruit firmness and taste;
  • improves plant resistance to transport damage;
  • reduces proneness to infections caused by pathogenic fungi.

Mg

Magnesium

  • key component of chlorophyll, hence – it is responsible for photosynthesis;
  • activates enzymes responsible for the processes of aspiration, protein synthesis, phosphorylation;
  • together with pectins, it maintains the cell wall structure;
  • participates directly in the transport and storage of important substances such as carbohydrates, proteins and fats;
  • constitutes an integral component of ribosomes and the cellular matrix as well as helps to stabilise the cell membranes.

S

Sulfur

  • a component of sulphur amino acids, and hence necessary for protein synthesis;
  • key for the production of innate defence substances of plants (phytoalexins, glutathione);
  • improves resilience against fungal infections and pest infestation;
  • reduces the concentration of heavy metals in above-ground parts of the crop;
  • positively influences the accumulation of protein-based reserve substances and the processes of oxidation and reduction in chloroplasts.

Micronutrients

They play significant functions in plant metabolic processes, in each of its development stages, decidedly improving the effectiveness of use of macronutrients from mineral fertilisers.

B

Boron

  • the most deficient micronutrient: in Poland, 73% of soils is boron-poor, with only 1% of soils showing a high boron content;
  • facilitates the development of nitrifying bacteria in the soil;
  • improves the uptake capacity of nitrogen and calcium;
  • influences the blossoming process and pollen life time;
  • improves the formation of fruit;
  • reduces fruit susceptibility to bursting and rot;
  • facilitates calcium transport in plants.

Cu

Copper

  • a component of many enzymes responsible for respiration and oxidation processes, the synthesis of lignin substances to reinforce cells, decisive for stem rigidity;
  • influences the transformation of nitrogen (reduction of nitrate content),
  • the improvement of content of proteins, sugars, carotene, vitamin C;
  • plays a role in defence, reducing infections by pathogenic fungi.

Fe

Iron

  • plays a role in photosynthesis;
  • stimulates the development of chlorophyll (but is not found in it);
  • participates in the transformation of nitrogen in the plant;,
  • manages many enzymatic reactions.

Mn

Manganese

  • influences the growth and development of plants by actively participating in photosynthesis;
  • activates metabolic enzymes for sugars, protein and fats;
  • participates in the reduction of nitrates to ammonia compounds;
  • improves plant resistance against disease and frost;
  • improves growth of roots and shoots by participating in auxin synthesis.

Mo

Molybdenum

  • responsible for the plant nitrogen budget;
  • significant component of nitrogenesis, participating in the binding of nitrogen by rhizobia;
  • participates in chlorophyll and vitamin synthesis;
  • improves plant resistance to stress factors.

Zn

Zinc

  • decisive for the development of growth hormones from the auxin group (it is thus indispensable in early development stages);
  • activates many enzymes responsible for the transformation of nitrogen and the synthesis of protein and vitamins in the plant.
